Senior Accountant/Accounting Analyst
The Senior Accountant/Accounting Analyst supports the finance department by performing general accounting, financial reporting, as well as various other accounting functions. This position will be responsible for assisting with activities related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. The Senior Accountant/Accounting Analyst will work across all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-7 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the CFO to establish and maintain systems and controls to verify the integrity of all accounting and finance processes, systems, and data
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements as well as supporting documentation
  • Build cross-departmental relationships and hold managers accountable to ensure timely and accurate information is collected and shared
  • Analyze actual results against the budget/forecast
  • Design and implement systems for tracking KPIs across multiple departments to be used for regular business monitoring and analytics, monthly reporting, and board packages
  • Lead the process and development of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, related analysis, and MD&A for senior management and the board of directors, including credit facility covenant monitoring, forecasting, and compliance reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of board packages
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget
  • Manage corporate good standing administrative items
  • Specific duties in the month end closing process
  • Prepare forecast and actual financial data
  • Lead annual fixed asset physical inventory
  • Revenue recognition and compliance
  • Reconcile and analyze assigned general ledger accounts
  • Assist departments in the account reconciliation process on monthly basis
  • Maintain fixed asset ledger
  • Participate in annual budget process
  • Additional duties, as assigned
  • Work with CFO and other key personnel during implementation of new software package
