Position Overview

As an Account Director at Overdrive Interactive, you'll be a seasoned interactive marketing strategist and account leader. This senior-level position involves leveraging Overdrive's products and services to meet our clients' business objectives through a deep understanding of their market position, industry landscape, and competitive environment. You'll also lead and mentor a team of 3-4 account management professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Foster productive client relationships at all levels, including senior staff
  • Provide strategic marketing counsel and leadership
  • Develop and implement short and long-term marketing initiatives
  • Identify growth opportunities and evolve client relationships
  • Oversee project management for key accounts
  • Manage account financials, including budgets, estimates, and spend tracking
  • Analyze and communicate campaign performance to clients
  • Prepare and present agency and client performance reports

Team Leadership

  • Build, maintain, and manage a team of 3-4 account management professionals
  • Provide consistent communication, mentorship, and training
  • Lead cross-functional teams representing various agency disciplines

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in an advertising or interactive marketing agency, including 3-5 years in personnel management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of online advertising techniques and best practices (Social Media, SEO, SEM, Email Marketing, Mobile, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics platforms (e.g., Omniture, Google Analytics) and KPIs
  • Proficiency in agency financial processes and project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to grow client relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Fluency in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Desired Qualifications

  • Current Google AdWords certification
  • Experience with Clients & Profits software
  • Demonstrated thought leadership through blog writing or industry publications
